Problem:
At the Schenley Distillers, Inc. plant in Lawerenceburg, IN, USA, unwanted pieces of metal (called tramp) were found in the grain used to process whisky.
Solution:
After exploring several possibilities, they found the best solution to be a permanent magnetic separator. The
Eriez Drum in Housing installed between the grain unloading elevator and the grain cleaner reportedly solved their contamination problem.
Problem:
There is no place for stray bits and pieces of iron in a distillery. The iron must be removed from incoming grain supplies.
Solution:
